EKU is coming off a strong showing at the Saluki Invitational where Eastern finished seventh in the 13-team field. Leading the way for the Lady Colonels was junior Michelle Biro who shot 156 for the two rounds, which tied her for fourth place.
"We were only eight strokes out of second place after the first day. We could have finished among the top four teams if we had played better the second day," Stephens said.
"Our tournament this weekend has a very strong field with seven or eight teams that could win the team championship," she added.
Rounding out Eastern's scores at the Saluki Invitational were Colleen Yaeger at 161, Kelli Wilson and Heather Faesy at 175 each, Julie Bourne at 193 and Julie Estes at 201.
